SOLD (Don’t miss out.  Join our mailing list!)

This brass Victorian-age light fixture is almost too complex and beautiful for written description.

This incredibly intricate fixture is adorned with three double-socket arms on the bottom section, which are attached to a large brass center. Dating from the 1880’s to 1900’s. Each set of arms is composed of three sea-scrolled trumpet shapes. The center is decorated with North Wind faces embossed or cast into the metal work. The fixture also features a prism multi-ball beaded chain base, ending in a brass turned center. The top section includes three hanging sockets with lovely cast-metal ceiling caps.

The overall height of the fixture is approximately 46 inches high and the width across the lampshades is approximately 24 inches. The width across the beaded prism ball is approximately 11 inches and the height to the prism ball is approximately 10 inches.

This piece is offered in as-found condition. It has never been buffed or re-lacquered, and boasts the original patina. The shades that are included are reproduction shades,  but this fixture would be remarkable if they were replaced with an antique-looking set that were acid etched. The three shades on top do not match the six shades on the bottom, and one of the bottom six shades is damaged. The absolute beauty and quality of this lamp, of course does not require replacement of all the shades.

The rings that hold the ceiling cap are wreaths and the piece is decorated with flowers and petals.

Although this fixture has been rewired, it is offered for sale with the understanding that the buyer will need to have it rewired to ensure safety. This will be shipped in a large wooden crate suspended in air and guaranteed not to break, as well as fully insured.

PLEASE NOTE:  The variation in the photos is so that you can see how the piece looks in different light.  Thank you!  It will cost $425.00 to have this shipped to your home.   Please contact us to make sure that your location is located in the normal delivery area.
