This is a beautiful shapely and stylish formal inlaid, banded Pembroke-style drop-leaf table made by the Johnson, Handley, Johnson Furniture Company of Grand Rapids back in the 1940s. It is a beautiful piece of cabinet work that features a curved drawer front that is dovetailed and banded in cross-grain mahogany, wonderful dainty little spade foot Hepplewhite legs with maple inlay, and a beautiful, shapely drop-leaf top that has edge banding and also leaves inlaid into the shapely drop leaves. The overall size, with the leaves up, is 39 inches wide, 26 inches deep and 26 inches high. With the leaves closed it is 18 inches wide. A gorgeous table, finished in a reddish-brown stain and all re-sprayed on the top. It is all set to go into the home. This is a great little walnut fluted-leg, carved, double-door, copper-lined smoking stand or end table that dates from the 1930s. What a great look: When you open it, it has copper on the interior, a beautiful double-door fancy carved front, fluted column top and fluted column legs. This is a gorgeous little oval tiger-sawn oak double-shelf parlor table that dates from the early 1900s. A great-looking table, it measures 29 inches long, 21 inches deep, and 30 inches high, with the bottom shelf 10 inches high. It features cabriole legs, a multi-molded top, and was refinished a while back by a previous owner in a medium oak stain finish. The tiger-sawn oak is simply beautiful. This is a wonderful Merklen cherry parlor table that dates from the 1880s or ‘90s. Merklen is known by its tell-tale ball and claw talon foot in wood, just as Hunzinger is known for its spring-support design. We’ve had this particular table a couple different times in different shapes and sizes, and in a few different woods, but this one has always been my favorite, with its barley twist legs, cross-stretchers, and even the dainty little rope twist that goes between the balls along the bottom skirt of the multi-beveled edge top. The table has been re-sprayed, it is cherry finished in a dark cherry finish, has barley twist legs, multi-turned spindle leg supports that hold the bottom shelf. Underneath the multi-edge molded tabletop is a ball with rope-braided molding and finial turned bottom skirt. Of course, everything is all finished off with the tell-tale Merklen talon metal claw foot with the wooden ball insert. The overall size is 24 inches square, 29 inches high, with the bottom shelf measuring 11 inches off the ground. It will cost only $145 to have this beautiful stand shipped to your home, within our normal delivery area.

This is a walnut or mahogany, dark reddish stained barley twist Hunzinger parlor stand with ball and claw wooden feet, dating from the 1890s. These Hunzinger tables are sometimes mistaken for Merlin tables, which have the same kind of wooden ball and claw foot. This particular table is gorgeous, with a multi-beveled edge top that has been all refinished to reveal the beautiful grains and styles of the wood used. It has a rope twisted ball gallery with reverse teardrop finials on the skirt, which is most unusual and all intact, which lead down into four barley twist legs that end in a ball and claw brass style foot with a wooden ball. A bottom shelf, with a beveled edge, adds style and support. The overall size of this attractive table is 24 inches square, 29 inches high, with the bottom shelf 11 inches high. This piece is a most unusual and desirable mahogany formal style stand that dates from the 1930s or ‘40s. Over the years, our owner has seen many thousands of mahogany occasional tables, custom furniture and formal furniture designs, but in all this time he has never had this model. It has a four-leg spider base, called that because it resembles a spider’s legs, that goes down into a brass caster, a basket wood shaped pedestal with carvings of leaves in front, a dovetail drawer with the most beautiful flame mahogany veneer in front, with a larger than normal floral embossed handle, and a dainty little picket-fence molded top with a nine-section antique oxblood leather gold tool-embossed top. Everything on this piece is in its original dark reddish stain finish, and the high quality is evident. The leather top is divided like a tic-tac-toe board, so our owner jokes it can be used for a game table! There is a beautiful selection of flame mahogany, including flame mahogany sides that are five inches wide. There are flame mahogany veneers and solid mahogany wood throughout the entire stand, and it obviously cost a lot of money back in its day. Measuring 22 inches square, and 27 inches high, it‘s the perfect size. It will cost only $135 to ship this lovely stand to your home, within our normal delivery area.
