We are pleased to be offering today this most unusual style empire flip top game tables we have had at any time that dates from the Civil War era of the 1860’s. We have been known to have 12 to 14 game tables at one time! However, in all the 1,000s of game tables we have had over the years, we have never had one in this style. It is unique with a solid ultra thin top, rounded corners, gorgeous grain, mahogany o-gee molded skirt, twin pillars coming down the base, big bun foot with castors and a flame mahogany stretcher. We just recently had a round period empire with this kind of medallion on the top, but not with this pillar. The cool thing about this table is that it is three pieces of furniture at once. You get a demi-lune of half table that can go behind the sofa or against the wall. If you want a display piece, you can flip the top up, lean it against the wall and it becomes a wonderful backdrop. The third piece of furniture is to flip the top up and spin it around to use it as it was originally intended as a game table or a small dining room table. This table has been stripped, hand sanded, glued, touched up and finished in a dark rich luxurious finish that is very stylish. This is a very sound investment minded piece to add to your home or office out of our inventory. The overall size when closed up is 35.5 inches wide, 17.5 inches deep and 29.5 inches tall. When the table is opened to a game table, it becomes 35 inches wide by 35.5 inches deep. When you spin the table, it does provide the storage area for your game pieces. Do not take your time and think this will be around, because they sell as fast as we can get them and I am sure this will won’t take even less time due to the rarity of the style. We are excited to have it. It will cost $185 to have this table shipped within our normal area. Please contact us prior to purchase to confirm that you are within our normal area. We also ship to all points of Canada, but please contact us prior to purchase to obtain a quote for your specific locale.
