Once you purchase an item from us, our shipping department goes to work to insure that your fine furniture arrives in the same condition as when it left our warehouse. First, your item is pulled from the warehouse by a quality control manager and brought to the wrapping room. Next, your furniture receives a full inspection, is carefully wrapped, and lastly, brought to the shipping department for additional packing. Depending on the shipping method or the carrier to be used, the purchased item will either be custom packaged or blanket-wrapped.          

Custom Packaging 

If the item is to receive expedited shipping or if a driveway delivery is expected, the item is custom-packaged. Depending on the safe shipment requirements of a given item, the package may be a crate constructed of all plywood for maximum strength, a combination of plywood and corrugated cardboard, or all corrugated cardboard to conserve weight. All packaging decisions are made with an eye towards cost savings that benefit our customers, however, our policy is to never compromise the safe delivery of your purchase simply to cut costs. You should expect to receive your item in 2-4 weeks after it has gone through our quality control area.

White Glove Delivery and Set Up.

White glove, fully insured, first-floor, in-home delivery service is available for most items. We routinely use one professional shipper and have been very happy with them. Antique Express Delivery covers mostly the East Coast and can be reached at 1-207-469-5363. The professional delivery driver will arrive at our warehouse and wrap your antique furniture in heavy, quilted blanket pads, and carefully pack the truck for the delivery run. Once at your location, the delivery personnel will bring the piece inside your home and install the furniture as directed by the new owner. This thirty-minute set up service is available for the first floor of your residence only. They carefully unpack and assist you to reassemble the item, if needed, and remove all packing materials and clean up the mess upon completion. You should expect to receive your item in a 45-60 day timeframe. While you are free to hire any approved commercial shipper you choose to move your purchases, we have had very positive customer feedback with these companies.

Special services

We understand that every home is unique and in certain circumstances we will have to work harder with you to provide complete customer satisfaction. If our delivery truck will not be able to park within 50 feet of the entry door, or the item needs to be moved up or down stairs, for example, just contact us at the time of your order so that we may find the delivery services that match your special requirements.
