This is a beautiful pair of rare needlepoint throne chairs featuring a lady’s chair and a man’s chair, both of beech, with heavily carved wood and highly detailed embroidery

A very unusual and rare find in the antique world, this is a gorgeous matched pair of heavily carved Spanish style throne chairs with beautiful needlepoint work in excellent condition on the backs and seats. They are carved out of solid beech, dating most likely from the 1910s. There is a lady’s chair, with a maiden embroidered on the back, and there is a man’s chair, with a man getting ready to go hunting embroidered into the back. The needlepoint on the seats of the chairs is matching, with a bird in the center with tons of floral designs and different colors throughout. The chairs are all highlighted with antique brass style tacks around. The overall size is 26 inches wide on outside of arms, 27 inches deep at the arms, 45 inches to the top of the chair and 27 inches to the arm, 18 inches high to the seat. Take time to look at the photos of the chair, and note the great detail, including the almost lizard-like toenail claw foot, floral carving on the center blocks, pierce carved front crest, pinwheel floral designs on the carved arms and posts, and just overall fantastic condition. We are offering this great pair for one money, and will cost only $325 to have the pair shipped to your home, within the normal delivery area.
