Dating from the 1920s, this set was completely refinished a while back, and was also reupholstered a beautiful pink silk style fabric with a pink decorative fabric, a molded edge against the dark reddish brown mahogany stain certainly brings out the highlights of this two seat love seat and matching armchair. This set features flared back legs, scroll arms coming down the Empire curve with a scroll to the top and a reverse curve on the arm support down into the cabriole pad foot legs. These exemplify some exquisite woodworking. Both pieces are finished in a dark reddish brown stain and the overall condition is great. You can see where there are a couple water stains, I believe on the back on the couch that should wash out, but we wanted to mention that they are there. Other than that, the set is in outstanding condition. The overall size, starting with the love seat first, is 49 inches wide, approximately 24 inches deep, 36 inches to the top of the crest rail, and 17 inches high to the seat. The armchair is 24 inches across the arms, 22 inches deep, 36 inches to the top of the chair crest and 17 inches high to the seat. This stunning two piece set is all set to go in to the home.
