The most unique of early country dressers we’ve seen in ages, this piece has lots of gorgeous details and a lovely time-worn patina

You’ve seen all kinds of unusual early country dressers before, but this is the most unusual we’ve found in a long time. It has a hatbox drawer on the right hand side, with a most unusual knob placement; two drawers on the left hand side, all hand-cut dovetail, and three larger drawers beneath. Featuring turned partial columns, turnip ball feet, and wavy birch across the base that is very obvious in the dark reddish brown stain finish. The chest itself is made of either of poplar or bass wood, or possibly maple. Most likely this chest dates from the 1840s era and probably came out of the Ohio or Pennsylvania area. It has panel sides and a little dainty backsplash, and has been refinished a long time ago and has replacement knobs. The overall size is 41 inches wide, 22 inches deep and 53.5 inches to top of backsplash. It is in great condition, with a small split on the top, which is normal for an old dresser like this. The patina is gorgeous. It will cost  $385 to have this unique and charming dresser shipped to your home, within the normal delivery area.
