A conversation piece with pizzazz.…Read More
This unique burl walnut cabinet has a secret: it makes into a bar. Dating from the 1930s in original condition, this ogee bevel edge lift top cabinet comes with a flip-down lid. The top opens automatically on the hinge, exposing a mirror back, mirror bottom glass shelf compartment that has little picks and a silver juicer. There is also a work area on which to pour and mix beverages. The cover comes down and closes up. There is also a key to unlock the bottom compartment, which opens up to a single shelf interior with a large section underneath, which will accommodate even the tallest bottle. The two doors close up, latch and lock. There is a key but it is not guaranteed to work. Heavy filigree trim is applied to the keyhole cover and the matching side of the other door, and features all picture frame molding with beautiful burl walnut panels, 45 degree corners and multiple molding edges and carved cabriole Queen Anne pad feet. The size is 29 inches
wide, 15.5 inches deep, and 47 inches high. The size of the bottom cabinet is 26 inches wide, 15 inches high to the bottom of the shelf, and 7 inches high on top where glasses are stored. In its original finish of medium oak, there are visible little rub marks. The piece has not been cleaned or polished, and there are a couple scratches on right hand side. Imagine the comments from your friends when you flip this cabinet open to prepare a beverage. It will cost $265 to have this item shipped to your home, within the normal delivery area.
