Dating from the 1870s, this solid black walnut lady’s chair is hand-carved and features what may be the original crushed velour upholstery

This is a wonderful solid black walnut hand-carved Civil War-era Victorian age lady’s side chair dating from the 1870s era. Right after the Civil War this beauty was made, with its wonderful solid black walnut figure carved back, cabriole carved legs, serpentine front and most likely what could even be the original crushed velour fabric. It has antique brass-style tacks and is really nice and tight. Its overall condition is good. It measures 23 inches wide, from front to back is 22 inches deep, 40 inches high to the top of the back, with the height to the seat 17 inches. In wonderful original condition, including the casters. It will cost only $165 to have this chair shipped to your home, within our normal delivery area.
