This is a beautiful and stunning white and gray grain beveled edge parquet mosaic oak front bedroom set that dates form the early 1900s. In its original color, this set includes two extra-tall raised panel carved pillar leg marble top matching night stands with hand-cut dovetail drawers; a most unusual triple mirror vanity marble top chest with two outside mirrors that have latches that flip out like a batwing; and a pair of small beds that join together to make an unusual oversized full-size. There are only a few minor flaws, but it is in its original condition. One of the unique touches, beside the mosaic parquet front, is what appears to be hand-carved wreaths of tiger oak that attach to the top of the beds and mirror on the chest. Starting with the Victorian marble top matched night stands, which are truly a matched pair as one door opens right, one opens left, they have white beveled edge marble tops with a few little small stains, but no big deal, with completely beveled edges on all four sides. They also have hand-cut dovetail picture frame molded doors, and nice raised panel door fronts with the parquet design on the front and raised panel sides. The dimensions of each are 16 inches square, 35 inches high with the shelf on the bottom being 5 inches high. The drawer bottoms each have a split in them where the wood has dried up and so does the bottom of the door compartments, but they are in overall really nice shape. The next item is the unusual dresser, which would make a beautiful bathroom vanity. This one can actually be wall-mounted. It has hinges on the outside doors that could be part of a built-in medicine cabinet with a little imagination. The top of the crest has a drape with tassels, the hand-carved wreath with berries, and a triple beveled glass mirror with the two outside mirrors flipping out, a white marble top shelf, beveled edge front, two picture frame molded dovetail drawers with a large compartment underneath of two doors and a squared off foot. The overall size is 48 inches wide, 21 inches deep, 34 inches tall, 41 inches high to the marble shelf and the overall height to the top of the wreath is 79 inches high. The width of the outside mirrors are, glass size 8 inches by 22 inches high and the center is 14 inches wide and 22 inches high. The mirrors show some age, which gives them great character. The overall condition of the cabinet base is great, the raised panel sides both have lamination seams but other than that are in outstanding condition. Last but not least is the unusual pair of beds from overseas that has been joined together, so they make an oversized full-size. A normal full size is 54 by 75. This bed has two smaller than usual half-size beds, but the overall width is 72 inches wide and 78 inches long. It is a very unusual size bed. Each inside bed is 34 inches wide. Either custom-made box springs and mattresses would need to be purchased, or we could convert this to a king-size bed for an additional $450 if so desired, which would measure 80 x 80. The beds are beautiful, with the unusual wreath carvings with the wreath and berry carved crest on top, raised panel fronts, doubles on the headboards, picture frame molded panel on the footboard, with picture frame molding underneath, little rosettes carved out of solid oak all through the front and back, and Hepplewhite style carved block legs, just like the rest of the set. Dimensions of the outside are 75.5 inches wide, 39 inches high at the footboard, and 57 inches high on the headboard. It is finished in a medium oak stain. Overall, the condition is great. The two beds can also be taken apart so they are unusual sized twin beds, 34 wide by 77 inches long, if desired. This is a magnificent set, and we are offering the pair of beds, pair of night stands and the dresser for one money.
