15037 Antique Unbelievable Carved Oversized Sideboard

Tons of storage space and too much carving to be believed make this lovely sideboard both functional and decorative. This stunning tiger-sawn oak oversized four door sideboard is in unbelievable condition dating from the 1940′s. It has a backsplash with a carved lady’s head in the center with fleur-de-lis carving on either side, and ribbed columns that support the top shelf from the bottom shelf, with multiple molded edges along the top, all the way. The actual top of the sideboard is a step-back top with multiple molded edges and a step-back square edge top that goes down into a four-door base. It comes with the keys, and all hardware is intact. Carved columns on the outside corners with lady’s heads carved in, and on the outside doors is a man carved in one and a lady carved in the other, with tons of gingerbread around them. In the center are two fancy carved doors with gingerbread. On the base, it doesn’t stop, but keeps getting better. It’s all scroll gingerbread carving on the skirt, with humongous rib column bulbous posts going down into a shoe foot base. The size of this sideboard is unbelievable, offering tons of storage space. It measures 89 inches long, 23 inches deep at the deepest point, 38 inches to the top of the cabinet itself and 50 inches high to the backsplash. The overall condition is good. There is one plant pot ring or one line down in the right hand corner where it may have been scratched, and we will try to darken that up. Other than that, it’s in nice original condition. It’s a massive piece, offering lots of storage space. Check out the pictures!
