This is a beautiful and unusual triple-door tall country-style oak icebox that dates from the turn of the century, 1890s to 1900s. Previously refinished by someone who did a really nice job, even buffing up the original brass hardware, including the hinges and latches, this icebox has the original doors, the kickboard, and an unusual feature, a rear door. The rear door is not a common feature on an old icebox like this. This one actually has a letter inside, which indicates it was a gift to someone for doing some kind of work at a World’s Fair or exhibition. The overall size is 23 inches wide, 16.5 inches deep and 50 inches tall. It features paneled doors and sides, the original kickboard that lifts up to allow access to the drip pan, and the inside has even been painted white. This is a really nice piece, and please check out our other new items, as we are listing a whole bunch of newly received tiger-sawn oak items from the turn of the century. It will cost only $345 to have this lovely old icebox shipped to your home, within our normal delivery area.
