This dark oak French bed features lots of nice touches, like clamshell carving and etched crests, as well as bolt-in solid oak side rails. This is a beautiful dark tiger sawn oak French Victorian style cabriole leg bed that dates from the 1920s or ‘30s. It features a triple raised panel carved footboard and headboard. This gorgeous bed also has cabriole legs, bolt-in solid oak scalloped side rails and a wonderful clamshell dainty carving across the front. Multi-molded etched design crests on the footboard and headboard make for a nice-looking bed. The overall condition is good, with one panel showing a slight crack. The panels are not glued in, but move back and forth. Overall dimensions are, outside, 59 inches wide, the footboard is 28 inches high and the headboard is 46.5 inches high. Inside dimensions are 57 inches wide and 77 inches long, and will easily accommodate the modern American-made full-size mattress. It is all ready to go in the home.
