This is a gorgeous four-piece oak bedroom set dating from the early 1900s, in original condition. This lovely set features a carved bed, a one-door, one-drawer carved marble top night stand, a three-mirror marble top carved-door oak dresser, and a triple-door two-drawer oak wardrobe. All in a dark stain finish, the overall condition is really great . The mirror on the dresser in the center is not beveled, and the two on the outside are beveled. Other than the normal dings and scratches, it’s a real nice looking set. The bed is a regular size, measuring 51 inches wide and 77 inches long. To make it a full-size bed (54 wide) would only cost an additional $200, if you desire. Overall, it has plenty of really nice features, including the dark oak stain finish, the beautiful carvings, and cast brass hardware. The first item is the marble top night stand, featuring gray and white marble. It measures 15 inches wide, 15.5 inches deep and 32.5 inches high. The height to the bottom shelf is 18 inches. It has a hand-cut, dovetail drawer in the top and a brass handle that has been replaced, and which does not match the handles on the rest of the set. It also has a beautiful little brass knob on the carved picture frame molded bottom drawer. It has paneled sides and a finished back so it doesn’t have to go against the wall, all in good condition. The wardrobe has a door that opens in the center, and a large beveled mirror. The left hand side door will open with a latch and the right hand side is a simulated door, which also has a beveled glass mirror. Inside the compartment is a hanging shelf and rod. It measures 50 inches wide, 19 inches deep and 69 inches is the height of the inside clearance. It features two hand-cut dovetail drawers in the base. The overall condition of the wardrobe is nice and original. The silver is worn on the glass for a charming look, and it also has a lovely carved floral crest in a wreath carving right on the top. The marble top dresser has two raised panel hand-cut dovetail drawers, beautiful picture frame molded decorated doors, and bun feet. The overall size is 46 inches wide, 21 inches deep, 34 inches to the top of the marble dresser base, and 85 inches to the top of the crest on the triple mirror. It also has a raised panel crest underneath the crest, double beveled glass on the batwing mirrors that will flip in and out, which is really kind of neat, and a solid plate-glass mirror in the middle that has just a bit of age on it but no bevel. There are flowers and such carved on the mirror frame, it has a white and gray marble top, and it is in great condition. The last item, the bed, is of all tiger-sawn oak, and has outside dimensions of 53 inches wide, 36 inches high on the footboard, and 60 inches high on the headboard. It has the same wreath-style crest on the headboard, a raised panel center, another carved dome-shaped panel with matching floral carved raised panels on both sides, bun feet and bolt-in side rails. It also has a triple raised panel footboard that matches the headboard and has carved columns. There is scratch going down the center of the headboard that you can see from one angle, and from another angle seems to disappear. Remember that the bed can be made into an American full-size bed for an additional $200 if the buyer specifies. This is a great value: four terrific pieces for one money. This four-piece set can be shipped to your home for $685, within our normal delivery area.
