We are pleased to be offering this fantastic solid carved oak French flip-top bar cabinet dating from the 1920s or ‘30s in outstanding condition. This is not one of those low-end items that sell on eBay for $400 or so, this is the real deal. It features all solid tiger sawn oak, raised panels across the drop-down lid, carvings on the dovetail drawer, raised panels along the side and amazing carving on the fancy ball and claw cabriole legs. There is a key that opens the drop-down lid, exposing a mirror-lined workspace with a glass shelf, adjustable height interior to hold all your goodies. The height of the bar lid is 25 inches when opened. When the lid is flipped up and locked, the blue felt lined dovetail drawer can also be opened with the key, and features heavy cast brass hardware. This piece is in its gorgeous original patina and features all original hardware. The base isn’t just a skirted base with cabriole legs, it is a bulbous or bowed carved skirt with big, deep clamshell carving that really highlights the wonderful detail of the ball and claw cabriole leg. The rope carved molding on the top finishes off one high-quality piece. This is an excellent investment for someone looking for a very high quality piece of antique furniture. The overall size is 42 inches wide, 17 inches deep, and 47 inches high. It will cost $285 to have this item shipped to your home, within our normal delivery area.
