Dating from the 1940s, this cedar chest has been all professionally refinished and has lots of storage room

This is a beautiful completely stripped and refinished mahogany Chippendale high-style highly carved ball and claw cedar chest that dates from the 1940s. All completely gone through by the boys in the shop, it has been finished in a gorgeous reddish brown stain finish that brings out the grains of the mahogany veneers used in this stylish cedar chest. It resembles a Philadelphia city lowboy chest. This is not one of the cheap ones you see on eBay and elsewhere, it is a high-quality chest, as evidenced by the detailed carving in the center section of the clamshell. It has carved pillars coming down into cabriole carved ball and claw legs, dark brass Chippendale hardware, and a beautiful beveled edge along the top. When the top is opened, there is a deep cavity for storage, with cedar lining. There is also a faux multi-drawer front. This is professionally refinished, simply stunning, and all set to go into the home. The overall size is 42 inches wide, 21 inches deep, and 33 inches high. It will cost only $245 to have this chest shipped to your home, within our normal delivery area.
