This is a very difficult item to find in the antique world: A cannonball brass tubular children’s crib that dates from the 1880s era. What a gorgeous item! It comes with the original spring, and all you need to add is a child’s modern-day mattress. It’s wonderful to still see an antique crib like this all intact and in the shape this one is in. It has four cannonball finials on top of the tubular posts, and brass rods in the center on the headboard and footboard and on the sliding sides that go up and down when needed. The overall size is 31 inches across, 42 inches to the top of the cannonball, 39.5 inches to the top of the rod, and 44 inches high on the headboard. The inside dimensions, for mattress purposes, are 27.5 inches wide and 50 inches long. The brass sides have brass rods with a space of 4 and 1/16 inches wide between rods. A gorgeous look, and it’s all set to go into the home. It has a few minor dings in the cannonballs, but is in other wise wonderful shape. It will come knocked down in a crate, and will cost only $165 to have this magnificently preserved piece shipped to your home, within our normal delivery area.
