This is a really beautiful swivel office chair dating from the 1940s and made by the Baker Furniture Company, well-known for their high-quality, stylish goods and outstanding workmanship. This chair, I believe, is all brown leather, being Baker. It is in excellent condition. It has a removable seat T-cushion that is extra comfortable and can be plumped up like a pillow. It has a solid mahogany and dark brown frame, with tapered turned spindles on the front arms, all kinds of brass tacks that decorate the leather, and with the brown leather against the brown stained finish, it’s simply stunning. The chair has rosettes carved into the front of the corner blocks on the seat skirt, and multi-groove molding. It comes down into a four-legged base that is of outstanding quality and rolls smoothly. Honestly, I almost kept this one for myself. The overall size is 23 inches wide across the outside of the arms, 19 inches wide on the inside of the arms. The depth of the T-cushion is 20 inches deep. The chair is 38 inches high, 22 inches high to the seat, and the chair does swivel and tilt, and of course, it will adjust up and down. A gorgeous chair, and you will have to go a long way to find another one like it. The Baker tag is on the bottom of the seat cushion. If you’re looking for quality, this chair is the one, and it can be enjoyed and used for many years to come.
