We are pleased to be offering today this beautiful solid black walnut gent’s chair that dates from the civil war era of the 1860s to 1870s. The frame is all solid black walnut. The upholstery is an antique blue velour style fabric that shows some soil marks and would likely come out with a steam cleaning. It is old fabric as you can see the wear on the arms. It has button back, side arms, cabriole style legs and a finger carved balloon back. Someone put a 1” spacer on the bottom of the legs raising the chair to make it more comfortable for the average person to sit. The overall size is 28 inches wide on the outside of the arms, 19 inches wide on the inside of the arms, 20 inches deep on the seat, 44 inches high overall, 23 inches high to the arms and 17 inches high to the seat. It is a great little chair in the original finish. Shipping starts at $165 for a driveway delivery in our normal area. Please contact us prior to purchase to confirm that you are in our normal area.
